Battlestar Myriad

History:

Myriad is a Mercury class battlestar, commanded by Commander Thaddeus Laert during the Fall of the Twelve Colonies. Myriad was going through a refit at Tauron when they were called, with the Hydra, to investigate the loss of contact with the Armistice Station. They encountered a Cylon force which took out their main computer using the hidden accesses created in the Command Navigation Program. Myriad sustained heavy damage and, finally, one of the basestars colided with it. Commander Laert and a large number of the crew were killed in the attack.

The Myriad was dead in space. Its momentum carried it towards the planet Minoa, where it limped into a landing on the planet and, over a period of about 200 days, the crew effected repairs. After taking off from Minoa, Myriad hunted for supplies. They identified an abandoned tylium refinery and discovered a small group of civilian ships hiding there after escaping the destruction of the Colonies.
