At roughly 11.35 hours Exodus +202, a news report goes out to the fleet.

Bale's voice: 'By now you will all have heard the news, the terrible news: Cylons have the ability to look human. What you may not have heard will shock you and might upset some viewers. I met recently with newly promoted Commander Darius to discuss the Cylon dilemma.

'Still in his dress uniform, the Commander told me that a member of his own crew had been found to be a Cylon. He authorised the FPA to share with you the name of this individual: Deck Chief Tyler. Some of you might be shocked to learn that so influential a crewman could be a Cylon. In his capture, the Cylon killed one civillian and wounded the erstwhile Captain Furyk, hero of the hour. We can confirm that the civillian killed was one Simon Parses - a medical technician. It seems that he too was a Cylon [a library picture of Parses flashes up on screen], the very same model - indeed - that former Deck Chief Tyler seems to have been. Understandably, the Commander refused my request to interview the former Deck Chief at this time, but when I asked him how the prisoner was being treated, the Commander made it very clear to me that he considers this Cylon like any other - a machine to be interrogated by any means necessary to secure the defense of this fleet.

'As I walked back through the halls of the Myriad, it was clear that people were afraid; that people were angry and that people were looking for some way - any way - to help avoid a repeat of the Parses Incident.

'We know the Cylons look human. We believe that there are twelve models. We know that members of the same model look alike. The FPA, in association with both military and civillian security forces, will be conducting Visual Recognition Recording throughout the Colonial Fleet and starting on board the Battlestar Myriad. If there are any other Cylons out there, we need your help to catch them... and to stop them... before they kill again. Check with FPA representatives or security forces to find out where your local VRR session will take place and help defend the Colonial Fleet by putting these murdering bastards behind bars.

'It is not the intention of the FPA to unnerve our viewers, or to create unnecessary paranoia, but the facts are that the Cylons could be among us, Planning their next move. Until more news breaks, I'm Owen Bale for the Free Press Association.'

[As he is speaking, a ticker runs along the bottom containing information of people to contact for further information. It reads:

For further information, contact: Owen Bale (FPA), Captain Eddard Stanton (Myriad Press Liaison), Nicholai Crane (Civillian Security Adviser) or any ship's captain

If you see any suspicious behaviour, contact your nearest security station. *DO NOT APPROACH THE SUSPECT OR LOCATION*]

Understandably, there is much unrest and disquiet amongst any who see the report...
